What is Creative Enterprise?

Creative Enterprise was developed in 2018 from a shared vision across BFI and Creative England to build a pioneering and incisive programme targeted at identifying, sustaining, and accelerating growth amongst ambitious screen businesses across the English regions.

Over the past three years we have engaged over 1400 companies and individuals. Our reach spans the breadth of the screen industries, and we work collaboratively with industry leaders and mentors. We support and guide growth by providing financial support, business development and connecting partners across the sector.

What do we offer?

The programme is split into three core strands, Learn, Scale and Invest and within these themes we have delivered the following programmes and support:

New Ideas Fund

Offering grants between £1000 and £25,000 to support the development of new and innovative ideas that have the potential to impact an entrepreneurial journey and grow business.

Business Planning Support

Offering grants of up to £5000 to support companies who work in moving image for storytelling, spanning film television, games and immersive, to build meaningful connections and create opportunities for business growth

Open Access Webinars

A place to connect with peers and discuss issues that are pertinent to business, sharing and supporting one another and looking to the future sustainability and growth of the sector. The discussion groups are hosted and facilitated by industry leaders and experts to provide a focussed discussion

Market Trader – International Access

Equipping participants with the knowledge and support they need to understand international trade markets better, to plan and target their approach and come away from international markets with the best possible results

Evolve – Investment Readiness Programme

A unique programme that prepares high-potential screen businesses for growth capital. Create and perfect your proposal with direct access leading experts and gain exclusive opportunities to engage with investors
